Unlike the over-the-top action of the Tony Hawk series, the first Skate prided itself on realism, and its dedication to skating culture. Skate 2, while still entertaining, felt too similar to the first game. Now, Electronic Arts and Black Box are attempting to break new ground for skateboarding games with Skate 3. This time the big focus is on community, and tailoring the experience to the player. Is that enough to continue pushing this series forward?...

Along with the inclusion of horse combat (of both the melee and ranged varieties) the 1.6 update will also bring with it a ton of bug fixes to correct any of those nagging issues. Some of those issues were only unfortunately introduced by the game’s previous update, the aforementioned Kinect voice control update. Bethesda didn’t reveal when console gamers might see the release of update 1.6 but it is available now for anyone who is part of the Skyrim beta program on Steam....

Selangor head coach Maniam Pachaiappan has praised the recent decision by M-League organiser Football Malaysia LLP (FMLLP) to hold the leagues and the Malaysia Cup in separate periods of the season beginning in 2018. The Malaysian domestic football calendar had previously been run in such a manner, but beginning the 2016 season it was decided that the cup would kick off concurrently with the second round of the leagues. This decision had been made to ensure that teams that do not qualify for the cup would still get to play throughout the full length of the football season....

Chelsea played out a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday in the Premier League. The Blues were coming off a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday. The Blues have won just once in their last seven games in the Premier League. Tuchel’s side are currently 12 points behind league leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand. The former Borussia Dortmund manager could be sacked if he’s unable to turn around the fortunes of the Blues....

Director Jeff Fowler, who took the reigns of the first film and is also set to do the same with the sequel, made the official announcement March 15th on Twitter, which doesn’t sound official but it is. He’s got the checkmark and everything. Marking a few months past a year since the original premiered (and taking the pandemic into account), it seems the production team wasted little time in getting started on the next entry in this new spin (heh) on the already beloved franchise....

Anticipate no more, as Namco Bandai has unleashed a plethora of media for fans of the series to sift through until the distant release next year. The countdown at the Namco Bandai page has ended, unveiling a trailer for the game, as well as a trendy Facebook fan page - one which requires ‘Likes’ to unlock hidden images. Considering the relatively lukewarm response toward DICE’s attempt to utilize its fan base through Facebook for Battlefield 3, it remains to be seen whether the SoulCalibur page will reach its goal in a timely fashion....

Announced in 2011 and delayed in 2012, promised for 2013, and finally (hopefully) delivered in March of this year, Obsidian’s outlandish RPG has plenty to live up to where rampant hype and expectation is concerned....

Splatoon had a major presence at the Nintendo booth during E3 2014, and we were fortunate enough to get some hands-on time with the title. For those looking for the next big franchise from the Big N, it’s far too soon to make any definitive calls on whether or not Splatoon can be that, but there’s a lot of promise that the game showcased during my time with it....

The always-crowing EVE Online Universe is getting an Oculus Rift powered space sim (EVE: Valkyrie) and there are a pile of additional space sims hitting Kickstarter frequently. We speculated here on Game Rant a while ago that the crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen would hit $30 million before the year is out and hit the $40 million mark by next November, the game’s initially announced release date....

For years, gamers had expected Star Fox to hit the Wii, especially since Nintendo had utilized motion control in other aerial combat games, but a new series installment never took shape. Now, three years after the Wii U was first demoed at E3 2011, in the middle of an enormous software campaign by the Big N, a modern Star Fox project has officially been unveiled. Surprisingly, Star Fox on Wii U was not shown-off during the E3 2014 Nintendo Direct conference - where a new Legend of Zelda, along with Super Smash Bros....

Lucasfilm first announced that an anime anthology series titled Star Wars: Visions was being made in December 2020. And on Tuesday, August 17, the studio revealed new details in a press release, saying it would be coming to Disney+ in September....

According to a report from the BBC, Lesley Cubbon, 73, who lived in the parish of Onchan, located on the self-governing British crown dependency Isle of Man, died on August 11, 2020 after she called police three times in the span of 15 minutes to complain about local youth attacking her and her home with pears. The coroner’s inquest on this case was just completed this month. The BBC reported Coroner Jayne Hughes said the “stress and frustration” from the alleged attack “contributed significantly” to her death....
