Destiny, Call of Duty, and Halo have all gotten plenty of stage time, but the Nintendo digital presentation is one place we didn’t necessarily expect to see an emphasis on the competitive online shooter genre. Nintendo attempts to reinvent the shooter genre with colorful, bright new IP Splatoon. The four-on-four multiplayer game puts players in control of a kid who has the ability to transform back and forth into a squid....

It appears that development on the upcoming spin-off series Rangers of the New Republic has been halted. There’s no word on how long it will remain in limbo, or if it will ever start up again. Interestingly enough, the news broke from the depths of the official (albeit delayed) announcement that Dave Filoni had been promoted to Executive Creative Director at Lucasfilm. Perhaps Disney simply thought this development wasn’t worth its own full press release....

We had a chance to meet-up with the Star Wars 1313 development team at E3 2012 for a closed-door sneak peek at the game in action - and, needless to say, the footage shown was extremely encouraging. Not only does Star Wars 1313 look to once again put LucasArts front and center in the games industry, the studio is paving the way for an entirely new form of collaboration between developers and filmmakers - enlisting the assistance of Hollywood (and Star Wars franchise) staples: Skywalker Sound, Lucasfilm Animation, and ILM....

Simpson, speaking in his latest video, urged Democratic hopefuls to “actually put out a plan” and prompted the pro-Trump group to stand by the convicted robber who was released from prison in 2017....

Having two cats means double the trouble, as one pet owner demonstrated on TikTok. The account marmiteandtoastie shared a short video showcasing their two cats’ contrasting personalities, and pet owners can relate. Shared on Monday, 11 April the clip shows Toast— labeled the “good” cat—adorably putting his toys away, before cutting to his sibling Marmite aggressively nibbling his owner’s pen as they try to write. Fellow cat owners immediately understood, and the post has since received 639,000 likes, over 10,000 comments and more than 9,000 shares....

Ever since they qualified for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, things have fallen in place for the Indian eves, most of it through hard work and effective execution on the field. Of course, Star Citizen’s biggest accomplishment thus far is its crowd-funding campaign, which earlier this week reached a massive $44 million total. What’s more impressive is that Star Citizen was able to accrue an additional $1 million in less than a 30-day span. Clearly, the title’s appeal is still growing. In addition to the latest milestone, developer Chris Roberts had a few things to say about forthcoming features for Star Citizen, including trading and cargo holds, as well as a Stellar Cartography room....

More recently, Square Enix unveiled a strange website that received incremental updates that slowly spelled out (what many assumed to be) the new game’s title. A full reveal of the upcoming game was planned for tomorrow. However, much like the news regarding Mankind Divided, which leaked a few days early, the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu went ahead and ruined the surprise. Before the announcement, observers guessed that Square Enix’s mystery game was a new Star Ocean title....

First off, we know Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17th. That is, if the developer and publisher can keep to their current schedule and don’t delay it. Not that we’re expecting them to, since the next episode in the Star Wars movie franchise is set to release in December and they want the two to release around the same time, but these days who really knows?...

A question about the StarCraft series possibly going free-to-play was asked during a panel at the Valencia eSports Congress, an eSports convention currently being held in Spain. That question was answered by none other than Dustin Browder, the lead designer for StarCraft 2 - and he wasn’t shy about admitting that Blizzard is seriously considering the option. Browder stated that Blizzard is currently “looking at free to play as an option for the multiplayer,” which would draw even more players into what is already a successful eSports scene and net Blizzard an abundant amount of competitive players....
